Marshall Maez Announces Candidacy for Los Alamos County Council
Los Alamos, New Mexico’s Marshall Maez announces his candidacy for County Council. Marshall pledges to focus on practical solutions to address housing affordability, support local small businesses, and strengthen the long term vitility of the community.
“ Los Alamos is an extraordinary place with a strong tradition of innovation and public service,” said Marshall. “But many families, workers, and younger people are finding it increasingly difficult to afford housing here, and local entrepreneurs often face barriers when trying to start or grow a business. I am running for county council because I believe we can address these issues through collaboration, thoughtful planning, and responsible leadership.”
Marshall Maez, a father of five and grandfather to six, said that he has firsthand seen these challenges when his children started looking for housing of their own. “My campaign will focus on encouraging responsible housing development, creating a more supportive environment for small businesses, and ensuring that county government remains transparent, responsive, and focused on the needs of the residents.”
“Our community thrives when we make room for families, workers, and local innovators,” Marshall says. “By supporting housing solutions and stregthening out local business ecosystem, we can ensure Los Alamos remains vibrant and a welcoming place for current residents and future generations.”
“I look forward to engaging with residents around the county during my campaign and hearing from the community directly about the issues that matter the most.”
